My Refuge And My Good

 

While others may look to the world,
I find refuge in You.
The lessons I have learned in life
Have shown me what is true…
 
That all the blessings I have known,
The hope and comfort, too,
I have received from You alone.
There’s no good without You.
 
You guard me and You guide my steps.
Despite all I pass through,
I know that You will hear my cry.
My soul’s refuge is You.

Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge. I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.”
