Fixed Upon The Light

 

Even in darkness there is light
That no cloud can obscure.
Though I may not see it at times
It still exists. That’s sure.
 
Though my road may be steep and rough
At times along the way,
I have no doubt that it leads me
Straight back to You some day.
 
Though grief and worry weigh me down
My soul is light and free.
This world will test me, heart and mind,
But Your love has saved me.
 
Of all the troubles in this life
That I have to pass through,
There are none that can hide from me
The hope that lives in You.
 
Then let the dark clouds swirl around,
The sun will shine again!
For I have my eyes fixed upon
The Light, the Son of Man!
