Mercy, Grace, and Prayer

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I’m working my way through the pain

And trying not to share.

As others carry their own grief,

They don’t need my despair.

 

As they lift burdens of worry,

What they need is my care

And not an extra dose of pain,

Because I’ve some to spare.

 

Oh Lord, help us to help others

Carry the pain they bear.

Even if all that we can give

Is mercy, grace, and prayer.

 

Hebrews 4:16

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
