I love the stillness of the night

And treasure the sun’s light,

For both were born in the same word,

Both shaped by the Lord’s might.

 

While there’s cause to rejoice by day,

And also in the night,

I have found that the words of God

Bring me much more delight.

 

So, I will praise the Lord, my God,

His wisdom, grace and might,

For His words are the light I seek

Each day and every night.
