Grace Upon Grace

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 The laws of man will not endure,

They prosper and then fail.

Though born from the truest intent,

That truth will not prevail.

 

The Justice from which they once sprang

Is corrupted by greed,

And that, which should have done great good,

Had no chance to succeed.

 

Instead, I place my faith and hope

In the grace upon grace

Within which even this lost soul

Has been reserved a place.

For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
