A darkness lies across the land,
The righteous, hushed in fear,
Knowing that, if they speak the truth,
Great evil will draw near.
Yet, when they do not call by name
The evil all around,
It preys upon the defenseless,
With no hope to be found.
That darkness grows stronger each day,
Prowling across the earth,
Claiming even the innocent
Before they’ve come to birth.
Demanding that the righteous soul
Be silenced without choice,
And that the twisting of the Truth
Be praised with raucous voice.
At some point we will have to choose
The world we will live in.
We’ll have to find our voice once more,
Or bow to fear and sin.
And either choice comes with a price
That we will have to pay.
On earth, perhaps, and well beyond,
We’ll answer either way.
Stand up in faith, offer His grace,
But hold firm to The Word.
Turn back from darkness, don’t be swayed
By all the lies you’ve heard.
Romans 1:18
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress
the truth.
