When
we’re caught in the crucible
We
feel nothing but heat.
We
walk through fire and hope we find
The
path beneath our feet.
We
lift a prayer at every step,
Though
we may also weep,
And
hold in hope to the promise
That
His love does not sleep.
It’s
not until we’re looking back
That
we can clearly see
The
hope we held onto back then
Was
there manifestly.
Yet,
that is the essence of hope.
It’s
not in what we see,
But
is instead in the unseen
That
we still know to be.
I’ve
learned this lesson through the years,
It’s
hope that sees us through
The
hardest things we face in life…
If
that hope’s born in You.
Romans
8:24
For
in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes
for what they already have?
