Advent Week 1: Hope - Hope In Patience

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We pray in hope and wait in faith,

And trust Him patiently.

For He who loves us knows our needs

And hears each prayer and plea.

 

We call upon Him with each need

And praise Him for His Grace.

We work in this world and we wait

For His time and His place.

 

We think we know just what we need,

We’ve told Him what to do,

But sometimes we have much to learn

Before He leads us through.

 

Patience can be a hard lesson,

And one we oft relearn,

But patience can teach us the truths,

That haste cannot discern.

 

So pray in hope and wait in faith,

And trust Him patiently,

For He love us and knows our needs

Even better than we.

But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
