Psalm 75:6-7

 

Psalm 75:6-7

No one from the east or the west or from the desert can exalt themselves. It is God who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another.

We all will stand before the throne

And answer for our life.

The good we did, our wickedness,

All of the grace and strife.

It will not rest on us to plead

In answer to our sin.

Our redemption has been addressed,

And is not ours to win.

But we will stand there, none the less,

For the sin has been done,

And face the sacrifice He made

To win our redemption.

Not one of us, who is redeemed,

Has earned such wondrous grace,

But He will claim us as His own,

Who suffered in our place.
