Psalm
56:10-11
In
God, whose word I praise, in the Lord, whose word I praise— in God I trust and
am not afraid. What can man do to me?
There
are so many things we do
That
cause hurt or dismay
To
those we love, or those we hate,
Or
those met on our way.
Some
of the damage is by plan,
And
some by accident,
But,
either way, the damage done
Leaves
pain and discontent.
There
is no cure born of mankind
That
can heal that much pain,
And,
even when the wounds have healed,
The
tortured scars remain.
It
is in God, and God alone,
That
great healing is found.
A
love so pure it finds the lost
And
turns them back around.
When
each day rises in the dawn
I
never know for sure
If
it will be a day of joy
Or
pain I must endure.
The
only thing I truly know
With
all my weary soul,
Is,
by the time the sun has set,
God
will make my wounds whole.
So
I will place my trust in Him
Who
holds dawn in His hand,
For
He holds more power to heal
Than we can
understand.
