Psalm 53:2

 

Psalm 53:2

God looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.

I often wonder what He thinks

When he gazes at earth.

Does He look down and wonder if

It all has any worth?

Or does He see the scars and stains

That touch us everyone,

And still say these are those I love

No matter what they’ve done.

Does He say sin must be answered,

But love remains unchanged,

Or does He ponder how much now

Can still be rearranged?

I know that I am one of those

Marred by most every choice,

But, though I bear my blemishes

I still will lift my voice

And praise Him out of love and faith,

In hopes that He will see,

Despite my imperfections, I

I adore Him completely.
