Sorrow and Joy

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Today could have gone better, Lord,

Without the tears and pain,

But there was also love and grace

And that’s what will remain.

 

I thought the day started okay,

Then everything went wrong.

Each time it seemed things had improved,

The pain finished up strong.

 

I know that there’s a plan in place

That I can’t always see,

But walking though the painful parts

Sure takes a toll on me.

 

Alright, I’m letting go the pain,

To focus on the grace.

Please comfort those who suffer still,

Let Your peace take pain’s place.

 

John 16:22

So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.
