Immanuel, God With Us

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Empty is my heart tonight

Of all its pain and fear,

For, as His name so clearly states,

He is forever near.

 

He is beside me in the night,

A Light that I may see,

And I will never need to doubt

His perfect love for me.

 

Immanuel, God is with us,

As prophecy foretold.

He is the only hope I need,

The truth to which I hold.

 

Matthew 1:23

“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).

Grace, Mercy and Peace

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I’m going to take time this week

To rest and to rejoice,

To reflect on all my blessings

And raise a joyful voice.

 

I live within the world each day,

But when each day is through

I step back from the world of man

And rest my thoughts in You.

 

The troubles of a broken world

Are meaningless to me

When I weigh them against the grace

Of Your holy mercy.
