A song of praise for Your patience
In helping me once more
To keep in mind whose child I am
Despite what lies in store.
I tend to lean to impatience
When I don’t get my way,
But You kept my eyes fixed on joy
Throughout the long, hard day.
You kept my heart fixed on the grace
That You give me freely,
So that I might share it with those
Who needed grace from me.
Even now I can feel the peace
With which You fill my days.
Please, help me find the words I need
To pass that on in praise.
