The In Between

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hushed is the world within the dawn,

So quiet and so still.

As if it waits to hear His voice,

And answer to His will.

 

There is a respite in the dusk,

A peace, where stillness falls.

As if the darkness holds its breath,

And waits until He calls.

 

Within creation lives the Word,

With which He called the Light

And in creation lives the peace

With which He shaped the night.

 

I praise Him for the golden day,

I praise Him for the night.

I praise Him for the in between,

It’s stillness and soft light.

 

Genesis 1:5

God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.
