Abide In The Word

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The darkness calls to each of us,

It calls us out by name,

Demanding we dwell in the sin

That brings us all to shame.

 

It speaks with the voice of the world,

And not that of the Word.

It calls us to conform, comply,

No matter how absurd.

 

It seeks to lure us from the truth,

Offering easy lies

To soothe our passage from the Light

And to our soul’s demise.

 

Heed not the wisdom of the world,

For mankind’s prone to stray.

Instead, listen to God alone,

Follow the path He lay.

 

So many voices call to us,

Don’t let the lines be blurred.

Live with love and walk with grace,

Abiding in His Word.

 

John 8:31

31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples
