Time to Rest

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I’m kicking back to rest tonight,

The week has been so long.

I used to live life on the run,

But now, I’m not that strong.

 

I’ve worked a lifetime, day by day.

Sometimes I feel those years,

But I would rather rest in joy,

Than spend it lost in tears.

 

For I know I can rest in You,

Restore my weary soul,

Then head back out into the world

With spirit strong and whole.

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
