I Will Not Yield

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The world tells me I must obey,

Conform to its demand,

But I follow another law

And live by His command.

 

I will not yield His claim on me

To that of mortal man,

For I was not reborn in flesh,

But into the Lord’s plan.

 

I will not walk this life in fear,

Nor obey man’s diktat.

I wasn’t called to seek man’s praise,

But turn my back on that.

 

There is but one law that I live,

One path that I will walk.

Though this world requires I conform,

I will not talk that talk.

 

Galatians 1:10

For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
