The day has been difficult, Lord,

But so have other days,

And I have managed to survive.

For that I give You praise.

 

I can’t know what tomorrow holds,

But I know this for sure,

Whatever it brings You’ll be there

To help me to endure.

 

Some days it’s not about the win,

But walking faithfully

Through whatever the day might bring,

And living gratefully.

 

I get that wrong, all too often,

But I’m learning to see

The ups and downs distress me less

When You are next to me.
