The children laugh with sweet delight,

Their joy fills up the air

And echoes in the hearts of all

Who watch them playing there.

 

Early they learned that love and grace

Will help them more in life,

Than living with an angry heart,

Sharing their pain and strife.

 

They understand, as He loves them,

They are to love others.

Offering them the love they’d give

Their sisters and brothers.

 

They understand that family

Extends beyond their own.

They are the good seeds of His Grace

That His teaching has sown.

 

As they have learned when they were young,

So they’ll live as they grow,

And teach to those yet to be born

What they will need to know.

 

Proverbs 22:6

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.
