Your Peace, I Claim

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I claim Your peace as mine tonight.

I need a place to rest.

The day was long, and often rough,

But I survived the test.

 

Yet now, I long to hunker down

And shelter in Your peace,

And, for tonight, find respite from

The stress that does not cease.

 

Tomorrow I will start again

And I’ll pick up the pace,

But for tonight I’ll claim Your peace

And rest within Your Grace.
