Making the Choice

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There is no place for bitterness

When joy fills up your heart.

Hate and rage won’t twist your path

When love can play its part.

 

You can’t get lost in your darkness

When you walk in the light,

And Heaven offers more true joy

Than Hell on its best night.

 

The choice is one we all must make

How will we fill our life?

Will we look for the Grace of God

Or choose anger and strife.

 

That choice is harder than it sounds.

Though we try not to stray,

We set our feet upon His path

And life gets in the way.

 

All we can do is live His Word

And listen for His voice.

The world will offer its options,

But we must make the choice.

 

Matthew 6:33

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
