A Promise I Made

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lord, I am weary from this day

And ready for some sleep,

But I have one more task to do,

A promise I will keep.

 

I promised I would make a point

To recognize today

All of the laughter and the hope

I found along the way.

 

I promised I would lift a praise

Of heartfelt gratitude

And wash my weary spirit in

A joyful attitude.

 

I promised I would take the time

To just be still and know

That You are Lord of all the earth

And that You love me so!
