Psalm 89:14-16

 

Psalm 89:14-16

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you. Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, Lord. They rejoice in your name all day long; they celebrate your righteousness.

I weep for those who walk this earth

But do not know Your name,

And those who know You, but still choose

A path of sin and shame.

Your glory is a fearsome thing,

And yet grace flows from You.

Your love and faithfulness endure

Despite all that we do.

Thus, Lord, tonight, I call to You

And lift the lost in prayer.

Please show them mercy, lead them back

From a life of despair.

Teach them to know and honor You.

That You, and You alone,

Can wash them clean of sin’s deep stain

And heal their heart of stone.

Let them learn to walk in Your Light

And rejoice in You name.

Let them praise You with joyous heart,

Your wonders to proclaim!
