You are the light, we are the dawn,

We’re nothing without You.
We linger on the edge of dark
Until Your light shines through.
 
But through Your light we touch the world,
As You expect we’ll do,
Though, as the dawn, we cannot glow
Til we’re reflecting You.
 
So, while we are born of your light,
We won’t lose sight of You,
For You’re the light, we are the dawn,
We’re nothing without you.
