Annoyances and Distractions - Reposted

Lord, the little annoyances

That happen every day
Always manage to distract me,
And get into my way.
 
I know my life is more complex
Than it really should be,
And that, in part, could be because
Nuisances distract me.
 
Instead of batting at the gnats
That buzz around my face,
If I could keep my eyes on You,
I know I’d find more grace.
 
So help me keep my eyes on You,
That I might see things through,
And finally get to the things
That You want me to do.
