The Hard Way

There has to be a better way

To get from here to there,
But I have yet to find a path
That leads me anywhere
Except the hardest way around
The simplest of things.
As if the greater the challenge
The more delight it brings.
Yet sometime, despite all of that,
I confidently say,      
That I would like to try it once
Along the easy way!
