Called Me By Name

I’m weary and I feel so frail,
Though there’s no reason why.
It seems as if I’ve lost my way.
I want to sit and cry.

This is a broken world, I know,
And it can leave me weak,
But He has called me by my name,
His is the strength I seek.

I may be just an old lost sheep,
But my shepherd is strong.
He will not leave to wander
Lost and alone for long.

I’m weary now, but I can rest,
Restore, renew and heal,
For He has called me by my name,
And my redemption’s real.

Isaiah 43:1-3
But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.

The Word No One Heard

The darkness swept on endlessly
Until He spoke the word
That changed everything forever.
The Word no one else heard.

How powerful the Word of God,
Spoken into the dark,
And rendering both light and life
With that one perfect spark.

Though man might brag about his works,
Proclaim himself mighty,
He doesn’t even know the word
That caused it all to be.

The darkness struggles to return,
But all to no avail,
For His word that first formed the light
Will not let that light fail.

I cannot even imagine
The glory of that word,
But I will praise Him who first spoke
The word that no one heard!

John 1:1-5
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

All I've Got To Give

I’m weary, Lord, but I won’t quit,
That’s not the way to live.
I’ll start again tomorrow and
Give it all I can give.

I’ll give it faith for those who doubt
Who live without knowing
The peace that comes from trusting You,
However it’s going.

I’ll give it peace for those who grieve,
Who’s hearts just keep breaking,
Not knowing the comfort that heals
Is theirs for the taking.

I’ll give it kindness and patience
For those who live without,
That they might have the chance to see
What both are all about.

Lord, most of all, I’ll give it love,
The greatest gift of all,
The gift You gave a broken world,
I’ll give to one and all.

I’ll start again tomorrow, Lord,
Give it all I can give,
And I will do so every day.
That’s how we’re called to live.

Galatians 5: 22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
