I tend to overthink some days
And today would be one.
I focus on what might go wrong
And not all I got done.
I’ve gotten very good at it,
Much to my own chagrin.
I would have thought I’d learn by now
Not to let worry win.
I know that worry is a waste
Of energy and time,
Yet here I sit within its midst
Trying to make it rhyme.
One day I’ll take Your words to heart
And stop my worrying,
But for tonight I’ve got a list
And worrying’s my thing!
Matthew 6:27
And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour
to his span of life?
