You lifted me up from despair
And gave me back my joy.
Despite what this day asked of me,
Delight was never coy.
Last night I wandered in the dark,
Today the sun broke through.
The only difference in between
Were the blessings from You.
It wasn’t in some grand display
That You showed me such grace,
But in the bright moments of joy
That I saw every place.
I needed to be reminded
Of how much You love me,
So You placed a small reminder
In everything I’d see.
Psalm 144:15
Blessed are the people to whom such blessings fall!
Blessed are the people whose God is the Lord!
