Children of Light

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I let You down again today,

Not living in Your Word.

When I got angry, the world’s voice

Was all my spirit heard.

 

I might have heard Your still, small voice

Telling me to calm down,

But I was too caught up in spite

And perfecting my frown.

 

I let that outrage carry me

Through a day made too long

By bitter thoughts and hurtful words,

And counting every wrong.

 

Oh, Lord I confess the great sin

Of failing You again.

Instead of the Light of Your Word

I walked the world of man.

 

Ephesians 5:8

for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light
