Stop
yelling, learn to listen,
Be
still that you might hear,
Stop
living in uncontrolled rage.
Choose
faith, instead of fear.
It’s
easy to be distracted
By
the chaos and strife,
But
do not follow down that path.
It
leads to death, not life.
There
is a spark of great darkness
That
lives within us all,
But
there is greater light, also.
Choose
light, not dark’s bleak call.
The
words sound so prosaic,
You’ve
ignored them before.
You
charge on down that empty path
With
nothing good in store.
You
have a choice that you must make,
One
you may not yet see.
You
can let the dark consume you,
Or
the light set you free.

John 2:9-11
Whoever
says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. Whoever
loves his brother abides in the light, and in him[b] there is no cause for
stumbling. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the
darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded
his eyes.
