Sorrow to Joy

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My heart’s a little sad tonight,

But not all tears are bad.

It doesn’t hurt to think of those

We’ve loved, the times we had.

 

We stand upon the foundation 

Of love we learned from You.

That is the strength that gives us hope,

When life seems hard to do.

 

You told us life won’t be easy,

And that is clearly true,

But it has been much easier

Since I’ve come to trust You.

 

So I will let my heart be sad,

But just for a short while.

Then I will fill it up with love

Until You see me smile.
