Faith and Tides

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The water seems still as can be,

And yet the currents flow

Beneath the surface, out of sight,

Where they may never show.

 

It is the same way with my life,

I plan how it should go,

But life has currents I can’t see,

That I’m not meant to know.

 

I think that’s where faith has a role.

You still can’t see the tow,

But by faith you can steer on through,

Despite the ebb and flow.  

 

And though I sometimes feel adrift

Upon an unseen tide,

Faith has always been my rudder

And You have been my guide.

 

Ephesians 2:8

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God
