Easier Said Than Done

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We have been called to follow You,

Easier said than done.

It is a path many will claim,

But not many have run.

 

It isn’t that we don’t believe,

But where we place value.

Are we bound to the joys of earth,

Or do we live in You.

 

We’re called to walk within the Word,

And live in Truth each day.

We’re meant to offer his love to

All we meet on the way.

 

The task seems simple at first view,

Then life leads us astray.

We’re far from perfect, but by grace,

You love us anyway.

 

Lord, help us to live in the Word

And grow closer to You

In every day we spend on earth,

In everything we do.

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
