Unswervingly

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lord, let me lift my heart to You

In praise and gratitude.

Let me ask for a true spirit

And faithful attitude.

 

Lord, I rejoice that I am Yours,

Though undeservedly.

And ask that You would teach me to

Love You unswervingly.

 

Mark 12:30

The Darkness is Passing

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Go out into the darkened world

And bring with you The Light.

Stand up in faith and speak His truth

Because you know He’s right.

 

The darkness seems to be so strong,

It gathers like a storm,

But darkness scatters like dry leaves

When Light shines bright and warm.

 

Go, take His Light into the world,

Let it grow strong in you,

Until the darkness falls away

And His Light shines on through.

 

1 John 2:8

At the same time, it is a new commandment that I am writing to you, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.

I’m leaving it all in His hands,

Where’s it’s been all along.

My plans are often not His plans,

And that’s why they go wrong.

 

I sometimes think I’m in control,

But then things go sideways.

And I can say, without a doubt,

Those are not my best days.

 

I’ve learned to hold my head up high,

Yet not to be too proud.

It isn’t my praises I sing.

But His I shout out loud!

 

Of all the lessons I have learned,

One stands out as the best.

That is to place my trust in Him

And let Him do the rest.

 

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
