In Control

I must admit I’m overwhelmed

By all that’s come to be.
It’s clear that someone is in charge,
But I know it’s not me.
 
I cannot fathom how it is
That God handles it all,
From mountains towering on high
To molecules so small.
 
I try to think I’m in control
Of how I live each day,
But I’m often forced to admit
Chaos has had its way.
 
Yet, God seems to have it in hand
When I’m too lost to see.
If one of us must be in charge,
I’m glad it’s Him, not me.
