Oh, Lord, I lift a Sabbath praise
For bringing me this far.
I often question who I am,
But never who You are.
I never doubted I love You,
Or that You loved me, too.
I only questioned how You could,
With all the wrong I do.
With all the trouble I have made,
The pain that I cause You,
You still redeemed me, called me Yours.
In You I am made new.
I’m not yet who I’m meant to be,
But You’re still who You are,
And I’ll lift You this Sabbath praise
For bringing me this far.
Romans 5:8
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still
sinners, Christ died for us.
