Oh Lord, I’m learning to rejoice
Even in times of pain.
For when I truly need You most,
Your strength and grace remain.
I can stand up within the storm
And hold on faithfully,
If I have You to hold on to
When fear sweeps over me.
Each time I’ve called out in my doubt,
And begged You to draw near,
I’ve heard You gently say to me,
“Child, I am always here.”
Trouble teaches me to hold on,
To hope in what I know,
And what I know with all my heart
Is that You won’t let go.
Romans 5: 3-4
Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings,
knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character,
and character produces hope
