The Way Into the Light

 

I thank You for the food I have,

The roof over my head,

I thank You that I sleep safely

Each night in my own bed.

I thank You for the work I do

And that I’m growing strong

Away from the dark path I walked

For oh so very long.

I thank You for the peace I feel,

And that others can see

How happy and at peace I am

Now that You’ve set me free.

I pray for those who are still lost,

Who relish in the sin

That keeps them coming back onto

That darkened path again.

I pray for those who cannot see,

And those who choose not to,

That there is only one way out…

They have to follow You.
