The Path I Walk

 

The plans that are unfolding now

Are nothing new to You.

You laid them out before my birth,

For even then You knew.

I look back over my long years

And see all You have done,

Battles I never knew I fought,

But, with You, they were won.

Hard roads I walked, the uphill climbs,

But You were always there,

Because You knew I’d pass that way

And that I’d need Your care.

I didn’t always take the path

That You said would be best,

But You knew that I’d turn around

And come to You for rest.

I don’t know what tomorrow holds,

But I know that You do,

So I will walk into Your plan

With all my faith in You!
