I Am Your Child

 

I call You Lord, and I am blessed

To know that I’m Your child,

For there are many lost within

A world that’s dark and wild.

They walk a path they cannot see,

That leads them to nowhere,

For without You to light that path

It’s littered with despair.

But those of us who walk with You,

Though we might go astray,

We’ll always have You there with us

To guide us on the way.

I’m blessed to know I am Your child,

And that I follow You.

I pray that You will find the lost,

That they will follow, too.
