Peace and the Rain

There is a peacefulness tonight,

With rain and cloudy skies.
I had forgotten peace can come
In unexpected guise.
 
We spend our days at hurried pace,
With all the how’s and why’s,
Until something precious enough
Takes us quite by surprise.
 
It carries us back to a place
Where peace lives in reprise
And we see memories of You
Mirrored in heaven’s eyes.
