My Focus

I cannot hear the words tonight

That You would have me write.
I think the world has snared me, Lord,
But I won’t quit the fight.
 
Things seem to be out of focus
In the world around me,
But I am clinging to Your Word,
And that’s clear as can be.
 
So though I may be deaf tonight,
And my eyes blurred with strain,
My focus is centered on You
And there it will remain!
