Worry and Faith

I know I shouldn’t worry, Lord,

But worrying is what I do.
I don’t mean to show lack of faith,
For I know that You’ll see me through,
But sometimes I forget to trust
Unquestioningly, Lord, in You.
 
Knowing my weakness, as I do,
I try to take the time each day
To sit with stillness in my mind
And let the worries slip away
So that I can remember how
To simply trust You. Then I pray.

Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the one who trusts in him.
