New Blooms

As new joy blooms within my heart,

I turn my face to You
For You have given me this chance
To start my life anew.
 
You lifted me from dark despair
And filled my life with light.
I can’t recall a time in life
When I’ve known such delight.
 
I know that I’ve begun to bloom
After the winter’s pain,
But it is only because You
Touched me with warmth again.
 
So I will turn my eyes to You
That You might see the grace
Which filled an old heart with new joy
Reflected in my face!
