Blooms and Thorns

Be quick to listen, not to speak,

It’s difficult I know.
I tend to speak my every thought,
I let my sharp thorns show.
So help me, Lord, to try harder
To listen and be kind.
I can’t help that I have these thorns,
But make them hard to find.
