In my moments of great sorrow
I weep for all I’ve lost, But when I think of what’s been gained
I don’t regret the cost.
My sorrow is a selfish thing,
For they don’t feel my pain,
Yet I must let my sorrow spill
Or I won’t heal again.
So I will weep beneath the stars
And sing to greet the sun,
For sorrow has its place at night,
But dawn means sorrow’s done.
Psalm 30:5
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
