Everything I think that I want
Seems just beyond my reach,Which leads me, Lord, to understand
You still have much to teach.
For when I stretch beyond my reach
I see what I had missed,
And what I’ve learned when I’ve struggled
Is not lightly dismissed.
So let me reach with joyful heart
To come closer to you
And give me strength and wisdom for
The reaching I must do.
