When all the world seems at its worst
And my cares bear me down
I find a friend with open arms
Can turn my world around.
The laughs they share when life is tough,
They give so openly,
And they can often see the good
That I’m too blind to see.
They’re there when life is hard to face
And when there’s cause to sing.
They help me see the better side
In all that life can bring.
So, for today, I lift this praise
In thanks for those near by
Whose very presence fills my life
Like dawn touches the sky!
